The big object, with white patches on head and back, had been lying on the water body close to the forest since time immemorial. For some odd reasons only known to government, officials came to have a look at it. Rumor spread that the THING will be removed.
In a meeting of village elders, organised hurriedly, an exicted middle aged man declared,
“because of this THING we are protected from calamities; my grandfather told me, it fell from the mountain Hanuman ji was carrying to Lanka.”
“Yes your grandfather knew everything; the man never went out of village all his life. I tell you this is fish incarnation lord Vishnu.” remarked another.
Claims, counter claims and insults flew thick and fast. One point everyone agreed that this THING should not be allowed to be removed. Village elders decided to build a place of worship near it.
