Unusual Questions

Baba is there life outside our earth?”

Toto asked while inserting a metal antenna inside a milk carton. Unprepared Dad could not fathom the direction conversation was going, so he simply said,

I don’t know son. Why do you ask?

Last night I was looking at the sky,”

Toto said while looking at Kanji scripts on a piece of paper

Toto often asked such questions. Teachers have complained and called these questions absurd. Other kids call Toto “pagla or nut case.”

Family friends say, “Toto has a fertile mind that asks unusual questions. He should be encouraged.”

Others say, “Kid is a fit case for an asylum.

A thin line separates a genius and a mad man. Toto’s father did not know which side of the line his son stood.
