Victory Tower


What is this tall structure?”

It is the victory tower, mother. This tower reminds us of those who have made supreme sacrifice.”

Mayor has dedicated this tower to this city. This tower represents victory of good over evil, victory of truth over lies.

Shailaja was visiting her daughter. She looked at the tower, visible from the apartment. Shailaja wondered “what victory, war still continues and people still losing lives.”

Mother you think too much. There is a restaurant on top of the towerLet us enjoy a good meal and a great view. Good for stomach and good for business.”

  1. Telling your story mostly by the dialogue between two characters is effective.
    Normally it is the older generation who are pragmatic, while the young are morally indignant. I like the way you have reversed those stereotypes in this story. It adds an extra dimension to your piece, because it surprises the reader and makes them think.
