Admiring the snow covered hillside from his balcony, Amar babu sipped his morning coffee and wondered, “if this unusual snowfall, after several decades, is an indication of climate change?” He and his wife were spending the New Year week in the foothills.
“Enjoy the beauty, dear; why complicate matters,” his wife commented while ordering house help, “Ramu don’t forget to go to bazaar; today we are having mutton for lunch.”
Ramu was angry working in the cold kitchen. To compound his misery, he will have to walk to market in this weather to fetch ingredients for lunch. This weather has made his life difficult.
Police officer, Sumer Singh, incharge of police station was a worried man. He has to register crime and manage traffic in a town not equipped to handle snow. He was not looking forward to another long and hard day before him. Snow has made life so difficult.
