Thinker #FridayFictioneer

What came first, this car or the forest?” friends stopped being surprised at such questions coming from Aashu, the philosopher among us.

Most often, Aashu would be found sitting inside the abandoned car that was lying in the middle of the forest. Not much of a car though; more like the chasis that was remaining after vital parts like engine, transmission, wheels were taken out of a body. With open bonnet, the car appeared from a distance like a giant gargoyle.

I come here to relax,” Aashu would tell me, “sitting inside with doors closed, this car becomes my personal retreat.”

    1. Any place can be a place for contemplation. Actually it is mind that has to stay quiet. A car in a forest might as well do the job. Thank you for reading.

  1. It seems like the more philosophical among us are in greater need of personal space. This actually counts as a nice retreat.

Sorry it took me so long to dig up our link. The one you leave on my blog goes to a now-defunct WordPress blog.

    1. To tell you thinker was coined with a frivolous intent. But everyone took it seriously. May be my lack of articulation. Coming to your point, any place can be used for thinking. Be it a crowded market or a forest, or a rundown car in a forest. Manin objective is to focus.

    1. Any retreat depends on the state of mind joining it. If Aash considers this car to be a place that gives him. Peace, then weather may not have importance. Thank you for reading.
