Stranger #Friday Fictioneer

Right time and place to discuss ghosts?” commented the stranger “I am Subir, may I join you till my girl friend returns?

Out to spend a beech weekend, friends were sitting around a wood fire.

Welcome!” said Abhay, “have a drink, tell a story.”

A camper died right here; his girl friend had left him,” commented Subir, “who knows, you may meet him too.”

There was stunned silence; Girls snuggled close to boys; Sea howled; Tree branches rustled in sea breeze.

There is my girl,” said Subir to the group, startled by headlight beam and car engine, “have a nice weekend!”

    1. Thank you for reading. I thought of making him the ghost. That would along expected lines. So he just narrated a story as another camper.
