Successful #TellTaleThursday

This brandnew multi level building is the office of National Security Agency.” honorable Home Minister said in his inaugural address, “ this builing will house an agency that will act as a spearhead to assess our external threat perceptions and monitor our internal security situations.”

“Ladies and gentlemen,” The minister continued, “I present Mr. Sudhir K Singh as the first Director of the agency.”

Not the first choice to lead the agency, Sudhir wondered how far he has come from the one room tenement to his grand office. A boy that hankered for a patch of sky, has a 360 degree view today. A boy from a lower middle class family, Sudhir has become one of the most powerful men in the country. His school teacher father would squirm if he knew Sudhir’s success formula included using other’s frailties against them. Threat of leaking sensitive photographs has landed Sudhir on the Director’s chair.

Ironic as it may be, Sudhir has no time to look at the world outside, his diabetes, blood pressure and stomach ulcer prevents him from enjoying a meal. Sudhir has no time for family. His wife has a lover. His son and daughter lead lives less said about them is better. He keeps a lid on his personal life, while he protects the nation from internal and external threats. No lapse will be considere too small, given the methods he had used to reach here. For his own sake, Sudhir has to stay on top. A game he started, but he certainly cannot end.
