I want our country to move forward in science and technology field,” thundered the education minister, “create state of the art centres of excellence that thinks a decade ahead of the rest of the world. Funding is no object. Leader of science and technology arena today will dominate the world in coming years.”

Chief scientific officer to the Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Higher Education was inaugurating the advanced science laboratory. It was thought students would think out of the box and come up with path breaking ideas.

What is this thing I am looking at?” a stumped chief scientific officer asked the student who had created the model, “this looks out of this world!

Sir, this is a flying horse that is taking off for its flight; look at its raised front legs,” said the student excitedly, “this horse will be environment friendly because it will not used fossil fuel and waste will be biodegradable.”

Son how will you create this creature?” I am sure this was not what our minister had in mind when he thought of advanced science laboratories wondered the chief scientist, “will the bird lay eggs or the mare will deliver?
