Isolation #FridayFictioneer


The man got dressed and sat outside in the balcony. For the last so many years he has been following this routine of eating his breakfast. He was aware that people are brought to watch the likes of him. Infact, he had gotten used to this exhibition, as long as viewers stayed far away.

The tour guide explained pointing at single storey structures separated by fence and a grassland, “this is where we keep dangerous people in isolation.”

What is their crime?” asked a tourist.

These are dissidents,” answered the guide, “thinkers, writers and the likes who influence our society!

    I heard a theory that the most persecuted people throughout time have been the thinkers. Too smart for their own good, upsets the status quo.
