Nirmala’s cry woke Nikhil up. “Why is the room so cold”, he wondered, “is the AC on? But our ACs remain dismantled.”

Nikhil my son is missing,” Nirmala was disconsolate, “bring back my son.”

He is sleeping at our friends?” Nikhil could see something has changed inside Nirmala, is this a sign of mental breakdown, “don’t you remember?”

Sahab,” Nikhil was trying to rest after putting his wife to sleep, when Bhola arrived, “ come out and see for yourself.”

Looking at the dismantled canopy, upturned furniture, Nikhil tried to recall if there was a storm the night before.
