It was dark outside. Barring a few, most shops had downed their shutters. There were not many people outside.

She had made up her mind about not going back to her home. Fed up with constant nagging of her parents about study and grades, today she had walked out.

Where to go now?” sitting on a park bench she wondered about the absurdity of knocking on the door of a class mate this late in the evening, “where to spend the night?

Enough for an evening,” startled she found her father tapping her shoulder, “let’s go home.”
